Directions to Orchard House 

Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House - Home of Little Women is open year-round on the following schedule:

• January 1-15, 2009: Closed for annual maintenance & inventory
  
• January 16, 2009: Return to regular winter hours (see below).
  
  
• Nov 1 - Mar 31: Monday-Friday 11:00-3:00, Saturday 10:00-4:30, Sunday 1:00-4:30 (except as above in January).
  
  
• Apr 1 - Oct 31: Monday-Saturday 10:00-4:30, Sunday 1:00-4:30
  Patriots Day (3rd Monday in April): 12:00 - 4:30
  
  
• Closed: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and January 1-15.
  Special Christmas week hours will be posted in December.

The House is shown by guided tour only.

Reservations are only required for groups of 10 or more.

All tickets for the day's tours go on sale at opening and are sold on a "first come" basis. Fire laws limit the number that may be accommodated at any one time, and pre-booked groups may limit public tours at certain times.

Special Programs are available throughout the year at Orchard House. Check the Public Events Calendar for information on educational programs and other special events.
