MEMBERSHIP in Friends of the Alcotts offers you the opportunity to participate in the life of Orchard House through unique and exciting special programs and volunteer activities.

Advance notice of and discounts for public programs, including the annual Holiday Program amd The Summer Conversational Series / Teacher Institute.

	Students & Seniors - $25. Individual membership for Students age 18 & older or Seniors age 62 & older -- Basic Benefits for member only.
	The Pickwick Club - $40. Individual membership. Basic benefits for member only.
	The Plumfield Society - $60. Household membership. Member benefits for the entire household. + free admission for up to 2 guests per visit.
	The Writers' Guild - $125. Basic benefits for the entire household,+ free admission for up to 4 guests per visit, and 2 passes to the Annual Holiday Program
	The Philosophers' Group - $ 250. Basic Benefits for the entire household + free admission for up to 6 guests per visit, 4 passes to the Annual Holiday Program, and a 20% Shop discount during the Annual Holiday Program
	The Transcendentalist Circle - $500. Basic Benefits for the entire household + free admission for up to 8 guests per visit, 6 passes to the Annual Holiday Program, and a 20% Shop discount during the Annual Holiday Program. (First-time Transcendentalist Circle members also receive a Little Women hardcover)
	ESPECIALLY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE: Scrap-Baggers (within US) - $10. A membership organization only for younger Alcott enthusiasts through age 17. Individual benefits allow free admission to regular tour, a 10% discount on Shop purchases or mail order over $5.00, and Member mailings.
	Scrap-Baggers (outside US) - $12. Same as above, for those under 17 years of age, living outside the United States.
	Library Membership - $100. Offered to libraries throughout Massachusetts so that their patrons may enjoy guided tours of Orchard House with the use of a daily pass. “The Library Circuit” is available for $100 per year and allows two adults and up to four children free admission per pass use. Library Staff are also entitled to discounts on public programs and special events.

Membership and Donations:

Is there a difference?

Yes! Members purchase valuable benefits such as unlimited admissions and discounts on programs and shop items. Donors, on the other hand, receive no goods or services in exchange for their gift.

We appreciate members as part of our “Alcott family” – they help to tell our story to others. At the same time, we rely on outright donations for major expenses which dues and admissions do not over, such as educational programs and costly historic preservation. We invite you to consider helping Orchard House even more by making a tax-deductible gift today in addition to your membership enrollment.
